Lego Movie Promotions

The Lego Movie will finally be “assembling” in theaters on February 7, 2014. The movie will be a full length American-Australian computer-animated adventure comedy film. It is directed and co-written by Phil Lord and Chris Miller, distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures, and stars the voices of Chris Pratt, Will Ferrell, Elizabeth Banks, Will Arnett, Nick Offerman, Alison Brie, Charlie Day, Liam Neeson, and Morgan Freeman. The film is based on the Lego line of construction toys.

There are several promotions that have been popping up on social media so I wanted to put them here in one place.

Two theater chains are offering different mini-figures!

Regal LA located at LA Live will have special activities in the lobby of the theater on February 8. There will be balloons, face painting, a photo booth, a prize wheel and other fun Lego related activities.

The Arclight theaters in Hollywood and Sherman Oaks are having a contest where 6 winners will be able to take home one of the 3 huge figures from the 2 lobbies. This means that 6 people will win.

The red carpet premiere will be at the Regency Theater in West Hollywood. There are several contests to win passes to the premiere. Just Search on the Internet. Beware of buying “tickets” to the premiere. They are likely passes someone got from a website that does NOT guarantee seating and doesn’t allow fans in or near the red carpet. Some companies have “first come, first serve” tickets to premieres to ensure the theater is full.

Not surprising, Legoland and Legoland Hotel in Carlsbad, CA are having contests and deals on staying at the hotel and visiting the park.
There will be a special Lego Movie Experience that will open in the park on February 20th!

The countdown to the Radio Disney a Music Awards 7 city tour

The countdown to the 2014 Radio Disney Music Awards is under way, with several scheduled performers-including Becky G, Epic Records’ Fifth Harmony and Hollywood Records’ R5 announced for the event, April 26 at Nokia Live. The awards show will air on Disney Channel on Sunday, April 27, at 8p, and be preceded by a seven-city live-event tour for kids and families, “On The Road to the RDMAs.” AXS.com is the national sponsor for the event; Duck Tape brand duct tape, Embassy Suites Hotels, Geico and Arm & Hammer Tooth Tunes are sponsoring the tour. “On The Road” will feature performances by Radio Disney artists, activities and a chance to vote via an interactive kiosk for RDMA winners. The tour kicks off Feb. 22 in Orlando with performances by Island Def Jam pop rock band, The Vamps and Becky G, followed by stops in Chicago, Cleveland, Houston, Dallas and Seattle.

Our 2014 celebrity is Peyton List, a TV star on the ever popular Disney Channel’s show Jessie, who also starred in the movie Diary of a Wimpy Kid, acted in Spider-man 2, and 27 Dresses. We are honored to have such a talent as Peyton List at our show to help raise awareness for Cure Kids Cancer!

Peyton List will be at Winterfest of Wheels Saturday, February 8th signing autographs! She will be signing from 1:00-4:00pm and again from 6:00-8:00pm at the Convention Center in Sioux Falls, S.D.

Austin Mahone, Blake Michael, Prince Royce to perform at a free Pepcity in New York

Designed to serve as a large-scale “thank you gift” to New York, the enclosed event experience, coined #PEPCITY, will span 10,000 square feet in midtown Manhattan’s Bryant Park, and include an 80 foot wide by 40 foot high custom-designed dome that will house numerous stages and a rotating continuum of diverse performances that celebrate the heart and soul of the city. Open to the public on Wednesday, January 29, Thursday, January 30, and Saturday, February 1, from 2 PM to 6:30 PM, #PEPCITY will convert to a free, ticketed performance space each evening at 8 PM, with performances by Austin Mahone, Prince Royce and on Saturday evening, headlining and closing out the event, Ziggy Marley. Tickets will be distributed online in advance of the performance, on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Each chef will create specialty menu items that incorporate PepsiCo products into unique recipes, reflective of their individual styles. Food will be offered at eight individual stations. Upon entering the space, guests will receive a “Taste of PepsiCo” passport that will enable them to sample and stamp each selection. All food samples will be provided for free.

In the evenings, #PEPCITY will function as a concert venue and host musical performances by popular entertainers, each free with advance ticket registration. Tickets will be distributed through Eventbrite, at specified web sites for each concert.

To complete the overall experience, the food items will be teamed with a series of staged tributes that pay homage to New York City. Performances will occur on a rotating basis, and include segments dedicated to Broadway, Art, Sports and Culture.

Entrance Experience
The entrance area of the experience will feature two original pieces by acclaimed contemporary American collaborative practice Snarkitecture. The Entrance Experience will present the image of a fictionalized New York City skyline, incorporating elements from different locations and historic periods into a unified silhouette, as well as an installation based on the famed Pepsi-Cola sign on the East River.

The 2014 Radio Disney Music Awards (RDMA), the prime awards show for kids and families’ favorite music, will take place SATURDAY, APRIL 26 at Nokia Theatre L.A. LIVE, it was announced today. Rapper Becky G, an RCA/Kemosabe Records artist and Radio Disney “N.B.T.” (Next Big Thing), helped make the announcement on Radio Disney’s “Morgan & Maddy in the Morning.” The music awards show will be presented as a one-hour TV special “Disney Channel Presents the Radio Disney Music Awards” on SUNDAY, APRIL 27 (8:00 p.m., ET/PT). Scheduled performers include Becky G, Epic Records’ Fifth Harmony and Hollywood Records’ R5. The headlining act plus more artists will be announced at a later date. The event will be preceded by a seven-city live-event tour for kids and families, “On The Road to the RDMAs.”

Tickets for the event, which will feature the most popular young recording artists and stars as heard on Radio Disney, go on sale today, Thursday, January 23 at AXS.com.

The Disney 😄 Rink Rats Hockey Festival will have a two-man advantage this February as stars of the network’s hit series Mighty Med make an appearance at the sold out event. Embracing the Canadian hockey spirit, Bradley Steven Perry and Jake Short will attend the upcoming full-day competition on February 8 at the Magna Centre in Newmarket, ON, to sign autographs for fans before dropping the ceremonial puck and presenting the trophy for the tournament’s championship game. The festival begins with round robin play commencing at 8:30 a.m. and the autograph signing will start at 4 p.m. sharp.

Mighty Med chronicles the unpredictable adventures of Kaz (Perry) and Oliver (Short), teenage best friends who land after-school jobs of a lifetime at Mighty Med, a secret hospital for superheroes, sci-fi and fantasy characters. There, they discover that their favourite superheroes are real and secretly live among them. Without powers of their own, these seemingly ordinary boys’ extensive knowledge of superheroes prove to be surprisingly valuable and help them to become heroes themselves while helping save the people who save people.
