The Pacific Coast Highway is one of the most beautiful roads in California. It is also one the most dangerous. On February 11, 2013, Katherine Cimorelli from the Cimorelli Band had car trouble. She pulled off on the side of the road and called her family for help!
Ronald Lee Carver arrived with his tow truck to help Katherine. Tragically, he was struck and killed by a driver who allegedly was under the influence of drugs or alcohol. The driver continued driving quite a way before she stopped.
Ronald Lee Carver was 45 and left behind a wife and 3 children.
Katherine witnessed the accident and wanted to help the family. She is the 2nd oldest sister in the singing group Cimorelli Band.
As a way to help and begin the healing process the group planned 2 benefit concerts. The city of Malibu pulled together to attend the concerts and donate money.

I was lucky enough to attend the concert on May 5 at Malibu Bluffs.
The sisters performed then took time to meet each of the people who came out to support the Carver Family. The girls had pre signed posters and posed for pics for donations.
The line was very long but the girls hung in there And met everyone.
There was also a bake sale and food truck which donated some of their profits to the charity.
I think this was a great way to turn something tragic into something positive. The girls also want to help make the Pacific Coast Highway safer. For tow truck drivers and everyone who travels on it.
