Now YOU can compete to come to LA, meet the cast, and show off your dance moves on the show!

Starting July 1, you can watch videos on line with Rosero McCoy teaching you the same moves he teaches the cast and dancers on Shake it Up. Then you can submit your own video of you dancing !!!
There are also 6 cities which will host dance offs live !! You can go, register and have them tape your audition. You will receive your own code and be able to view it online and submit it to the Make You Mark Ultimate Dance Competition.

Even if you don’t compete, go and cheer people on and get tons of giveaways!!

We went to the LA event and watched contestants audition. We got tons of freebies. We saw Rosero McCoy teach a dance Radio Disney were also there and gave away stuff and had games. Bella and Zendaya came out, talked, and danced!!
Some people even got to ask questions and the girls took some pictures with some fans and signed autographs! Their families watched from a special area. It was a really fun day! I don’t think they will be at the other cities events but you should still go!

THE BREAKDOWN OF THE EVENTS

Currently, viewers can shake it up and break it down at DisneyChannel.com/DanceStudio where online dance videos by “Shake It Up” choreographer Rosero McCoy and his assistant, Claude Racine, teach kids and families signature “Shake It Up” dance moves. New videos will be posted each Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. Users can also sign up to receive a text alert when a new dance video is posted by texting the word “MOVES” to DISNEY (347639).

Make Your Mark: Ultimate Dance Off – ‘Shake It Up’ edition” schedule:

Friday, July 1 – Wednesday, August 3 – “Make Your Mark: Ultimate Dance Off – ‘Shake It Up’ edition” commences. Kids age 8-16, with the consent of a parent, are invited to go to DisneyChannel.com/MakeYourMark to create and submit a dance video, up to 30-seconds long, with a maximum of five dancers, showing off their choreographed or free style dance moves. Kids are also invited to “like” their favorite videos and the most popular will be featured weekly on Disney Channel and DisneyChannel.com.

Thursday, July 7 – A five-city talent search kicks-off for “Make Your Mark: Ultimate Dance Off – ‘Shake It Up’ edition” at the Americana at Brand in Los Angeles, California, with a special guest appearance by Disney Channel stars. Kids and tweens will have the opportunity to record their dance video onsite for online submission. Additional cities include:

Chicago (July 9),

San Francisco (July 16),

Atlanta (July 23), and

Detroit (July 30).

Beginning in August, six (6) finalists will be revealed on Disney Channel to face off in front of a group of celebrity judges during the “Make Your Mark: Ultimate Dance Off – ‘Shake It Up’ edition” to air on Disney Channel in October 2011. Judges will narrow the selection down to three (3) contestants and kids can vote for their favorite to win. The Grand Prize includes a “spotlight dance” performance in an episode of “Shake It Up.”
