Getting Stars Autographs Through the Mail Using Fanmail Addresses

Have you ever wished you could have your favorite star’s autograph? I’m Alexirob and I meet live in LA and meet a lot of stars! My mom and I share this great hobby. I get autographs and pics with celebs all the time! Sometimes we pay money to attend charity events or got to premieres, or tapings. If you live near LA you can do these things too if you have a lot of time and get really lucky!
If you don’t live near LA or can’t meet stars in person then this blog is for you. I’m going to tell you exactly how to get autographs from stars.

The first thing you need to do is decide who’s autograph you want. Then you need to find their address. If a star has a FaceBook, My Space or a Twitter account check there first. If you still can’t find an address, you can try to use Google. I will list some fan mail addresses at the end of this blog.

Then, it is a good idea to write a letter to your favorite star that shows them how much you appreciate them. You shouldn’t just send them an envelope saying, “Can I have your autograph?” They work hard entertaining you so it is only fair that you spend some time writing to them. Adding a little drawing or poem would be a special touch. Now, some stars have staff people that handle fan mail. I don’t know who does and who doesn’t but pretty much the bigger the star, the more likely they don’t actually see your letter. Stars will often ask you to send a SASE that means Self Addressed Stamped Envelope.

You will need:

the star’s address

TWO large envelopes (these can be bought at an office supply store like Office Depot or Staples)

stamps for BOTH envelopes or stamps on one and cash for the postage on the one that will be sent back to you

your fan letter/pic/drawing/poem

Now you are ready!

1. Put the star’s address on one letter and your address on the other

2. Put stamps on both (not just one stamp , about $2.00 worth on each)
if a celebs says include $2.00 to cover postage just put cash in the envelope..
They aren’t being cheap. They might have 100′s of requests a week.

3. Have your letter/drawings/poems ready…

Ok, so now, fold the envelope with your address in half and put it and your letter/poem/pic in the envelope with the star’s address on it

You may want to make sure if you are asking for something special, you ask, like can I have your picture or an autograph made out to ______.

I wouldn’t send something special to the star to get autographed because it might get lost.

You might want to go to the post office just to make sure you have enough postage on your envelopes if your are really far away or in another country.

Then you sit back and wait. For some celebs you might get something back in a few weeks for some stars you might have to wait months. You might want to send many requests out to different stars at the same time. Have a party with your friends. Your parents will probably have no problem paying for stamps and envelopes. They want you to write letters and be creative!

Sadly, you may not get some requests back. Some stars like Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga, the Jonas Brothers are just so popular and so busy that they might not be able keep up with all the fan mail they receive from fans all over the world.
