China Anne from Disney Channel’s ANT Farm will be a contestant on a new ABC competition show called Sing Your Face Off. The first taping is May 23, 2013.

Stage and screen star John Barrowman, who has been seen on Broadway in Sunset Boulevard and Putting It Together, will host the new singing competition series “Sing Your Face Off,” according to EW.com.

In the new ABC series, which will likely debut this summer, five celebrity contestants assume the identity of a different music icon each week.

Judges will include Darrell Hammond (“Saturday Night Live”) and pop singer Debbie Gibson, whose Broadway credits include Les Miserables, Beauty and the Beast, Grease and Cabaret.

Celebrity contestants for the six-episode series include Sebastian Bach, Jon Lovitz, Landry Fields, China Anne McClain and Lisa Rinna. “Sing Your Face Off” is produced by Endemol USA with Georgie Hurford-Jones as executive producer.

Barnes and Noble at the Grove in LA has an “author event” listed on its August Calendar. The event is on August 6, 2013 at 7pm.

The event will very likely be a book signing. Sometimes, there is a reading and Q and A. More information will be posted on the stores website when the event gets closer.

Book signings at Barnes and Noble’s stores usually are handled the same way. Plan on buying the book earlier that day. Many people line up before the store opens to make sure they get to have their book signed. You will receive a wristband and be able to return later for the signing. Depending on the rules at the signing, you may be able to have your book personalized and/ or get a picture with the author.

This should be a fun event! Zendaya is a great role model for young girls. She is best known for her role as Rocky on Disney Channel’s Shake it Up. She is currently in the finals on ABC’s Dancing With the Stars. She has songs on iTunes and playing on Radio Disney. This summer she will be on tour and performing at several fairs!
