Top Spots to see celebrities in LA

Many tourists come to LA expecting to run in to celebrities on Hollywood Blvd.
It isn’t that easy but it IS possible to meet stars in LA. This blog is going to help you maximize your chances.

Before I start I want to say that we should always be respectful of celebrities. They are people too. If you meet a celebrity in public be quiet, calm, respectful. Read their body language. Are they making eye contact, smiling ?? Then sure ask for a quick picture or autograph. Are they with their children, look like they don’t want to be recognized?? .. Then you Are taking a risk of getting turned down.

Ok let’s get to the fun stuff!!

Studio Tours–

Before you plan your trip you can make some reservations at some of the studios. Paramount and WB studios both offer tours. There’s no guarantees
You will meet stars but being on the lot sure helps your chances!

Live Tapings–

You can also check with TvTickets.com Audiences Unlimited or 1 iota and see if you can get tickets to a show taping! Again this isn’t a guarantee but it increases your chances. Also, check with the Tonight Show, Jimmy Kimmel and other shows to get tickets to a taping. They often give out way more tickets than they have space for because they know people won’t show up. You should plan on going early to any of these events.

The airport–

Keep your eyes open at the airport. Celebrities are coming and going everyday at the airport. Hang around, get a meal there. You never know!!

Your Hotel-

Celebrities might be staying there especially if it’s nice. One Direction stays at the W when they are in LA. Many fancy hotels host events like charity events -and gifting suites.
Keep your eyes open. Look who I met at a hotel!

The Dance Moms and girls just visited LA and had a few meet and greets at Hotels

Extra Tapings at the Grove LA

The Extra TV show tapes at the Grove M-F Mario Lopez is the host and they have celebrities arrive daily for interviews. You probably won’t be able to get a picture WITH the celebrity, but you can get one of them! Usually, celebrities are scheduled when they have a movie coming out! You can check EXTRA TV s website and twitter account to see which celebs will be appearing!

Live Shows –

There are live shows at the Hollywood Bowl, Staples Center, Nokia, Pantages and other venues. Check TicketMasters website for exactly which shows will happen during your stay.

Shopping and Theaters —-

Celebrities are people too. They shop and watch movies. You are most likely to see celebrities shopping at The Grove, The Americana, and Westfield Sherman Oaks. The Theaters celebrities are like to go to are the Grove, Universal City Walk, and the ArcLights in Hollywood and Sherman Oaks.

Restaurants –
There are a few restaurants where celebs are likely to go. One is Paty’s in Toluca Lake

Miley Cyrus and her family eat there every so often and I just ran into Billy Unger and Madison Pettis a few days ago

There are also other places celeb tend to go in Toluca Lake. There’s a Coffee Bean, Sharkey’s and new place called the Counter all on Riverside Dr.

Premieres-

Some theaters are more “fan friendly” but if you get there early and find a spot near the red carpet you might be able to meet some stars. I’ve met many this way!

Bowling –
Yes bowling — celebrities love bowling and there us one Bowling place that tons of celebs visit. Demi Lovato and Nick Jonas even went there on there birthday.

They also have a nice selection of autographed bowling pins.
Pinz Bowling is in Studio City on Riverside Dr. They have an arcade and an attached restaurant calked Jerry’s. I’ve met TONS of stars there! Stars are more likely to go to Pinz late nights on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

For the serious Stalkers!

There are other places where celebs go that aren’t appropriate for kids but if you are hardcore about meeting stars you can hang outside of some fancy restaurants like Katsuya, Chateau Marmont, and the Roosevelt Hotel.

Paparazzi usually wait by the valet areas and I’ve seen their videos on You Tube. Sometimes fans are there and they take pics. The celebs don’t seem too happy about it so it’s up to you about trying this out!

5 tips on meeting celebrities!

I have been meeting celebrities at events in LA for about 2 yrs now. I’m getting pretty good at it and want to share some tips with you.

1. SHOW UP
You aren’t going to meet celebrities if you don’t go to events! I did the hard work for you. Here are tons of events with all the info you will need.

2. DO YOUR HOMEWORK
Learn the details of the event. Do you need to buy something at a certain store? For signings you usually need to buy the book, CD, or magazine the celebrity is promoting. You may need to keep a receipt or get a wristband. Sometimes you need to buy something one day and go back for the signing another day.

To meet Justin and Demi, we had to line up hours before the actual signing began. For Justin’s My World signing we had to buy a voucher for his CD weeks earlier.

3. PLAN AHEAD
You may wait 10 hours to meet a celebrity then have security rush you at the last minute or be told no pictures are allowed. Plan who will take and how you will get a picture. At signings, sometimes the rules say “no posed pics” meaning the celeb can’t stop and look at the camera with you. They are trying to get items autographed for as many fans as possible. Maybe someone can take a pic from the side.
Plan what you will say and practice it! You might get rushed and nervous and then you can’t go back!! I get so nervous my throat gets tight

If you are at a premiere and celebs are spending a few seconds with each fan you might have to choose between an autograph or a picture.

If your mom or friend are taking a pic for you make sure they know how to use it. You just have a few seconds sometimes!

4 MAKE FRIENDS/ STAY POSITIVE
This is a hobby and just like other hobbies takes time. You may need to line up hours before a signing or meet and greet. Bring fun stuff like magazines, a deck of cards, music, craft stuff to make a poster.
Be friendly with everyone around you and the security. You all are going to need each other for bathroom breaks, snack breaks, borrowing a charger ..
No one wants to hear people complain. If you can’t handle long waits in uncomfortable conditions, then don’t go to these events!

5 STAND OUT
Celebrities might meet 300-400 fans in a few hours. If you want them to notice YOU do something to stand out. Bella, Zendaya, Ariana will often take a pic with super fans and post them on Instagram.

You can make posters, t- shirts or scrapbooks.

When I met Selena Gomez I had a Wizards Shirt on and glasses she kissed my cheek and hugged me.

When I met Ariana I wore an Arianator Outfit on! Her mom and Frankie loved it too!

The Teen Choice Awards After Party Hosted by Bella Thorne

The Teen Choice Awards were taped at the Gibson Amphitheater in Universal City on July 22, 2012.

The Do Something After Party took place at the near by Globe Theater.

Bella Thorne hosted this party and performed with IM5 Band.

Staples, Bella and Do Something partnered to donate $1000′s of dollars of school supplied to kids in need.

Tons of celebrities walked the red carpet, signed a poster to raise their hands for needy kids, and enjoyed the party. On their way in some celebs stopped to sign autographs and take pictures with fans who just happened to be in Universal Studios that day!

I had a great time.

I actually saw Adam Irigoyan on the way in to the party.

There was a fun photo op spot!

Ashley Argota from Bucket and Skinner’s Epic Adventures and True Jackson VP came over and gave me a hug. She loves charities. She will be at two in August Chance to Play and Kinds Help C. She’s super sweet and way prettier in real life than she us on TV.

Next I saw Eric Unger. His brother, Billy Unger plays Chase on Lab Rats. He was supposed to come to the party but ended up hanging out with Cody Simpson.

I’ve seen Erin Unger at events and follow her on Twitter but never had a picture. She was so sweet!

Next I saw Brandon Johnson who plays Gary Wilde on Shake it Up. He also hosts a show called My Yard Goes Disney. He also made an Indie film with Kiowa Gordon.

Stefanie Scott and Jake Short went over to meet fans!!

Jake Short plays Fletcher on Disney’s ANT Farm. He is always sweet and cool when we meet. He is so funny. I love his GIF booms!!

Stefanie Scott plays Lexi on ANTFarm. She was also in Frenemies and other movies and TV shows. She really sweet and also is a singer. She has a few sings on iTunes. She often performs at shows around the US.

We then saw Tucker Albrizzi. He plays Jake on Good Luck Charlie and also has a role on Big Time Rush. He also plays Neil in the new movie called Paranorman premiering August 17.

Kylie and Kendall Jenner were sweet enough to stop for a picture!! They will be signing Seventeen Magazines at the Barnes and Noble Aug 2 in Santa Monica.

It’s always fun to see Cameron Boyce. He plays Luke Ross on Disney’s Jessie. He also will be in Grown Ups 2.

Then I saw Kelli Berglund who stars as Bree on Disney XD’s LabRats. She is so sweet and attends a lot of charity events.

Next Mason Cook arrived. This guy starred in Spy Kids 4. He also filmed a Remake of a Lone Ranger Movie and he is now filming a movie where he plays Eddie Munster.

Next I saw Joel Courtney and Kat MacNamara. They play Tom and Becky in a new Tom Sawyer movie. Kat also filmed Girl Vs Monster, New Year’s Day and was on an episode of Kickin It. Joel was in Super 8.

Then I saw Dylan Snyder. He plays Milton on Disney XD’s Kickin It. He is really sweet and does a LOT of charity work!

Then I saw Spencer Boldman who stars in LabRats. He’s a great guy!
I see him at a lot of events. He’s a real gentleman.

I then saw Madeline Carroll who was in Swing Vote, Mr Popper’s Penguins, Flipped and many other projects. She us so sweet and pretty!

Debby Ryan stopped for a quick picture which was sweet because she had a long day! She’s the star of Jessie, Radio Rebel, 16 Wishes, What If and got her break in Suite Life on Deck.

Next, I talked too Max Schneider from How to Rock! He’s a cool guy who’s an actor and musician. He plays the ukelele and sings! He was also in Rags.

I was SUPER excited to see Coco Jones who was the Radio Disney’s NBT winner. She also starred in Let it Shine! It was so cool meeting her. She was really down to earth and sweet!

Then I saw Kenton Duty. He played Gunther on Shake it Up and just filmed the Contest Movie in New York. He’s a very nice guy. Whenever I see him at events, he takes a lot of time to meet fans.

Then Zendaya came in after talking to each and every media outlet on the red carpet! She’s such a sweet girl!!
She and her patents care so much about other people and charities!

Then I finally met Teala Dunn. She plays Lindsay in the TBS show Are We There Yet. She really sweet and funny. She was telling me about when Justin Bieber came on the stage at the Teen Choice Awards!

Then I saw Brandon Robinson who is on Pretty Little Liars! He’s really sweet. I had met him at another Do Something Event called Teens Bring Jeans. Be remembered me from that.

Then I met IM5Band who were going to perform at the party with Bella Thorne. They also have a song on Radio Disney and are perfuming everywhere!

Even though Bella was hosting and performing she took a minute to take a picture with me and say hi!!

I saw Max Charles too. He plays Axel on Jessie and was the young Peter Parker in the new movie The Amazing Spiderman.

I also saw Sierra McCormick who plays Olive on ANTFarm and Creepy Connie on Jessie! She’s a really funny, talented actress. Shea always sweet when ever we meet!

I saw Aedin Mincks who plays Angus in ANTFarm. He’s really funny and sweet in real life!

Then I saw Carlon Jeffrey. He stars in Disney’s ANTFarm and is also a singer.

Then I saw Harry Shum who plays on Fox’s Glee.

Bella’s family and boy friend were at the event to support her. I took a pic with Bella’s big Sister Dani. She’s so sweet and supportive!

Finally I met Jillian Rose Reed from MTVs Awkward. She was very sweet and I’ve heard good things about her!

As you can tell I had great time! There was yummy food and deserts and little stations. At one station we packed back packs.

Do Something, Staples and Bella Thorne dud a great job!! I know there are going to be lots of happy kids that get to go to school with nice new school supplies thanks to this project!

Zendaya to Perform at the Art and Soul Festival August 5 Oakland, CA

Zendaya who plays Rocky on Disney’s Shake it Up has been practicing for her upcoming Swag it Out Tour. She will be joined by PopLyfe and her Zwag crew. They have been practicing hard to make the Swag it Out Tour a success!

The first stop on the tour is in Zendaya’s hometown of Oakland CA.

We have all had a special teacher in our life. Walmart and Walden Media want to celebrate teachers and raise money for charities that help teachers and their students!

I was lucky enough to meet Josh Hutcherson a few times when he played for the charity basketball team Hollywood Knights. He’s not that easy to meet now since he got so popular and busy after being cast as Peeta in the Hunger Games.
