Chance to Play will be an afternoon of soccer and fun activities held at Cromwell Field on the beautiful centrally located University of Southern California Campus, a world class soccer field.

Held on a beautiful summer weekend on August 5th, before school begins, kids and adults alike will have the chance to play soccer with some of their favorite celebrities, play games at the event, purchase raffle tickets to win prizes, enjoy refreshments and make memories for a lifetime, all while helping disadvantaged children here at home and abroad.

ON GAME DAY

The event will open in the morning and guests will be able to purchase refreshments, play games, purchase raffle tickets, participate in meet and greets with the celebrities and enjoy a short pre-game show of music and dance.

There will be booths for participating charities and sponsors to provide information, samples, discuss and showcase new products or offer guests a fun and interactive experience.

The day’s highlight and main event is the celebrity soccer game. Many of the most recognizable teen celebrities from some of today’s most popular shows will be on hand to play with celebrity athletes and other adult celebs from TV, film and sports. Guests who have raised the most funds during the fund-raising drive leading up to the event will join the celebs on the field to play. The local AYSO clubs that raise the most money for the event will lead the “teams” in warm-ups.

Celebrity coaches will take the field with their teams and coach them through an afternoon of fun non-competitive play with goofy twists and surprises like water balloon soccer balls and three-legged race soccer.

The half time show will feature music, dance, prize raffle, games and sponsor shout outs all led by a celebrity MC.

With the beautiful campus as the backdrop to the worthwhile day, this will be a great outing for the entire family. Chance to Play will raise awareness as well as vitally needed funds for both organizations. All participants will make a much needed difference in the lives of thousands of children.

3 more episodes of Shake it Up season 2 and the Finale

My favorite Disney show, Shake it Up, is coming to the end of it’s second season.

There are 3 30 minute episodes left all set to air in July, 2012.

Rock and Roll It Up will air July 1, 2012.
Gary’s Grandma visits and tells about her memories of being on a dance show in the 50′s. The cast all act out her memories of the old days. Cece (Bella Thorne) plays grandma Wilde and Rocky (Zendaya) plays her best friend.

Boot it up will air July 15, 2012.
Rocky and Cece are excited about Major Dance Boot Camp but find the camp is more than they bargained for.
Flynn can’t go to camp because he hurt his arm do Deuce and Dina bring camp to him!!

Slumber it Up will air July 29, 2012

Rocky and CeCe invite Tinka to a slumber party since she hasn’t been to one before!

Then in August, the 90 minute Made in Japan will air. This will be the season finale of season 2.

In Made in Japan the cast “travels” to Japan. (the episode was actually filmed in the nearby studios where Good Luck
Charlie usually shoots).
There Rocky and CeCe are going to star in an interactive Japanese dance game. CeCe wants the girls to become global stars and Rocky wants to Explore Japan. At the same time a Rocky and CeCe computer virus threatens the world!!

Season 3 starts filming in July and will air in the fall.

Meet the Cast of DanceMoms this Sunday July 1, 2012 Burbank, CA

DanceMoms is a hit reality show on LifeTime TV. It follows some DanceMoms and their kids as they perform in dance competitions with Abby Lee Dance Company.

The group has been having meet and greets where they live in Pennsylvania and this weekend they are coming to the LA area.

The group will be meeting fans at the Burbank Marriott July 1, 2012.

Six Flags Magic Mountain

Six Flags is in Valencia, CA. Just last month One Direction visited.. Well 4/5 of 1D. You can save here in a few ways.

Taco Bell has a coupon for $25 off a gen ad. Ticket IF you order 3 days in advance. You need to go to sixflags.com/tacobell OR $20 of you bring your coupon to the ticket office in the same day of your visit.

AM-PM a popular gas station has a coupon that requires you to buy any (2) Three Muskateers or Milky Way candy bars. If you bring the wrappers and coupon you can save $25 off of the general admission ticket

Pacific Park

Pacific Park is located on the Santa Monica Pier. This pier was featured in Forrest Gump. It has rides and carnival games.

LegoLand is in Carlsbad. It is of course Lego Themed. There are rides, and activity areas where kids can make Lego cars and race them. It’s pretty fun.

Burger King is offering a free kids ticket with each adult ticket. You need to but a kids meal that comes with a crown. You can bring the crown to the ticket office or log in to Legoland.com/bkcrown and enter code

Universal Studios is in Universal City, CA. It has a “Hollywood” theme. You can see how movies are made, take a back lot tour, and see live shows.
There’s an online exclusive offer for Southern Ca residents. They can save $15 Bringing the $80 price down to $65.

Keep your pets safe on the 4th of July Please Read and Share

July 4th weekend is a great time to spend with your family and pets. Please remember it’s also a very stressful time for many animals.

Every year, many dogs frightened by fireworks, escape from yards, cars, and homes. Many run completely terrified and even run into traffic. Others hide and don’t come even when they are called. They are later picked up and taken to shelters.

The City Shelters prepare for the influx of animals by evaluating what animals might be euthanized to make room. It’s a very sad truth about the shelters. They are extremely overcrowded and if your pet gets loose and ends up at the shelter, another animal could be euthanized just to make room for yours.

Here are some suggestions to keep your pets safe during the holidays.

Resist the urge to take your pet to fireworks displays
Do not leave your pet in the car. With only hot air to breathe inside a car, your pet can suffer serious health effects-even death-in a few short minutes. Partially opened windows do not provide sufficient air, but they do provide an opportunity for your pet to be stolen or escape.
Keep your pets indoors at home in a sheltered, quiet area. Some animals can become destructive when frightened, so be sure that you’ve removed any items that your pet could destroy or that would be harmful to your pet if chewed. Leave a television or radio playing at normal volume to keep him company while you’re attending Fourth of July picnics, parades, and other celebrations. If necessary use a crate to keep your animal safe. For extreme cases of anxiety, if you’re going to be out, take your animal to a pet kennel.
If you know that your pet is seriously distressed by loud noises like thunder, consult with your veterinarian before July 4th for ways to help alleviate the fear and anxiety he or she will experience during fireworks displays.
Never leave pets outside unattended, even in a fenced yard or on a chain. In their fear, pets who normally wouldn’t leave the yard may escape and become lost, or become entangled in their chain, risking injury or death.
Make sure your pets are wearing identification tags so that if they do become lost, they can be returned promptly. Animals found running at-large should be taken to the local animal shelter, where they will have the best chance of being reunited with their owners.
